Technology for a Monday Morning: A World Language Pedagogy Symposium, Hosted by the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Vista Higher Learning
This interactive teaching workshop will encourage instructors to explore responses to the central question of why technology is important in the foreign-language classroom, and to consider critically the opportunities and risks of adopting new approaches and tools. Guest speakers will give live demonstrations of dynamic learning resources, and exhibit criteria to evaluate how different technological tools can be effectively and inexpensively utilized in all language programs. Attendees will be encouraged to get hands-on experience using computing devices provided for the event to embark on a curated tour of new learning resources and digital connections. All participants will come away from this free professional development event with resources and approaches to share with their students on Monday morning.
